Lizzy and Marco, thirty-something entrepreneurs, originally from Amsterdam have decided to set off for a year to travel the oceans aboard their Excess 11 christened “Bombarda”.
The young couple will first be setting off from Les Sables d'Olonne in France, bound for the Mediterranean. They will then take part in the ARC, heading for the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
Marco has enjoyed the pleasures of sailing since childhood, mainly aboard monohulls, both racing and cruising. As for Lizzy, she is fairly new to sailing but her kitesurfing experience gives her a solid foundation in mastering the wind.
Their passion for the sea, the sensations, their past experiences in monohulls and their desire to escape led them to buy an Excess 11 for their maritime adventure. They were immediately seduced by the sensations on board and the young spirit of the brand.
