On October 31, November 1, and 2, the harbor of Toulon hosted a unique event: the Excess Tour organized by Esprit Mer in partnership with Plaisance Yachting Service (PYS). Over three days, more than 70 sailing enthusiasts had the opportunity to discover, test, and immerse themselves in the world of Excess catamarans.
Participants were able to explore and try the Excess 11 and Excess 14. They also enjoyed training workshops on the following topics:
- Acquiring your catamaran for travel: advice on taxation, rental management, and company structures.
- Equipping your boat: focus on onboard energy (solar panels, lithium batteries, wind turbines, etc.), safety, sails and rigging, as well as essential weather tools.
- Training and preparing your crew: a presentation of Esprit Mer’s technical training to master long-distance cruising, anticipate the departure day, and sail confidently thanks to their technical bases available worldwide.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of the participants and the invaluable support of PYS, this event was a true success.
