Our latest addition, the Excess 13, takes to the high seas!

This maiden voyage leaves Les Sables-d'Olonne for La Grande Motte, where the Excess 13 will be unveiled at the International Multihull Boat Show 2025.

An exciting voyage, with stopovers in Portugal and Spain, which will give us the opportunity to observe the Excess 13 in full sail before its grand unveiling.

 

Excess 13: a newcomer with a strong character!

The Excess 13 continues the Excess DNA with a lighter, more responsive and livelier catamaran. Its optimized volumes and the integration of carbon elements give it a dynamic look, while guaranteeing ideal comfort for life on board. Designed for sailors in search of sensations and adventure, it represents the perfect balance between performance and pleasure at sea.

Thanks to Seanapps technology, we're able to follow this first navigation live. On the first leg of the journey, Hervé Piveteau, Excess product manager, will be on board to share with us the key moments of this delivery trip. From weather conditions to performance under sail, each stage will be documented for total immersion in this crossing.

The adventure begins! Hervé, Excess product manager, and Bruno, captain of the Excess 13 for this journey, have set sail from Les Sables-d'Olonne, heading to Cascais, Portugal!  Despite light winds, they are making steady progress, determined to take on this first challenge at sea. Heading to Spain with some surprise passengers!

As the Excess 13 cuts through the waves, a pod of curious dolphins accompanies Hervé and Bruno for several minutes, putting on a magical show. But the true star of the day? A tiny bird, who decided to make the Excess 13 its new floating home!

After this unexpected encounter, the crew reaches the Spanish point, just north of the legendary Cape Finisterre. Next stop: further south, with more adventures on the horizon!

The Excess 13 is heading south!

After 3 days of sailing and 697 nautical miles covered, Hervé and Bruno continue their journey towards Portugal aboard the Excess 13. With a maximum speed of 17.3 knots and an average of 4.07 knots, they chart their course with complete peace of mind.

Between sail adjustments and gazing at the horizon, the crew savors every mile traveled.
